Correct me if I’m wrong, but word on the streets is that project managers are people who get paid simply for bearing the name and doing nothing. Just as in this video, one question on a lot of people’s lips is “what do project managers do?” Well, let’s answer it.
What are Projects and Why are They Managed?
Projects are structured business processes that organisations engage in to produce a unique product, service, or result. The entire relationship between an organisation and its clients (especially a B2B organisation) can be broken down into projects.
Projects are typically executed within a defined scope, time, and resources. The reason why projects need management is to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within these parameters. Without a project manager, projects will either be delayed, executed at the wrong scale, or with a bigger budget.
While we’re out here accusing project managers of being jobless, they avert disaster for businesses daily.
Superheroes have Capes; Project Managers have Sync!
Project managers are the guys who make sure businesses stay efficient, effective, and out of trouble by keeping things on time, within scope, and within budget. It is a lot of work, and while they may not have superpowers, they have Sync!.
Sync! is a tool created to help businesses track timelines, monitor performance and efficiency, and control budget to guarantee optimal results for projects. Every business needs a project manager to survive, but it takes a project manager who uses Sync! to make a business thrive.
